By using cement with a reduced clinker content and other additives in the concrete, the ecological balance of the building material can be significantly improved. Upon request, we can cover all CSC-CO₂ levels with our concrete and cement products, precisely tailored to your needs.

Resource-efficient concrete is a special type of concrete in which the processed, recycled aggregate comes from building demolition or demolition measures. This recycled aggregate replaces all or part of the natural coarse aggregate in the concrete.

EPDs with the best GWP values are available for our cements and selected concretes. EPDs, or Environmental Product Declarations, are standardised documents that present the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle in a transparent and comparable manner.

 Our German cement plants and many of our companies have been awarded CSC certification. The value of the CSC certificate lies primarily in its recognition by international sustainability assessment systems for buildings. These systems include BREEAM, LEED and DGNB, which recognise the CSC certificate.
