As computer scientists, our training at SCHWENK gives us insights into all areas of IT, allowing us to experience the most important fields of computer science, such as network & security, Windows server infrastructure, SAP Basis and the service desk. We also gain insights into specialist areas such as sales, purchasing and logistics, enabling us to learn about the interfaces between IT systems and specialist departments. What I particularly like about the training at SCHWENK is that trainees are also allowed to manage and coordinate their own IT projects. I don’t just sit in the office all day, I also travel to the numerous external locations and support users on site. SCHWENK needs trainees like me, who put ambition, teamwork and enjoyment of work first.

The first two weeks at SCHWENK are induction weeks, during which we get to know the company, our fellow trainees and the tasks ahead of us. After that, there are monthly company training sessions where we receive information about the company and expand our own knowledge.
During our training, we take on project management for the trainee projects ‘SCHWENK Christmas Market’ and ‘New Year’s Celebration’ and work across apprenticeship years and training programmes to implement them. In addition, trainee team days and other joint trainee activities strengthen the community and further our personal development. For me, working at SCHWENK means enjoying my work and feeling comfortable thanks to the family-like company structure and good working atmosphere.
