Special challenges

Specifically, structure BW20 over the Mulde (ARLT company) was constructed from the abutments, using the incremental launching method from one side and a push-formwork method from the other side. The concreting was carried out in all weather conditions and at temperatures between -20°C and +30°C, always with the support of our central laboratory in Bernburg (Mr. Arndt). Due to the requirement for cements with an Na2O equivalent < 0.8, almost all concretes were supplied with a CEM I 42.5 N (sd).
