The FISCHER Weilheim Group is joining the family-owned company SCHWENK – a merger aimed at providing sustainable building material solutions

29. July 2025

Ulm, July 29, 2025 – FISCHER Weilheim Management GmbH, a leading national provider of circular economy services in the areas of transport logistics, soil management, demolition, and construction material recycling in Baden-Württemberg, is joining the SCHWENK Baustoffgruppe. The transaction is subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Office.

With SCHWENK, the FISCHER Weilheim Group gains a long-term partner that shares the values of an independent family-owned business and will continue to develop the business in the best interests of employees, customers, and regional responsibility. The FISCHER Weilheim Group will remain an independent company—with its familiar team, structure, and operational focus. “We have found a partner who understands our philosophy and strengthens our company for the long term—without restricting our independence,” says Claus Bechlars, CEO of the FISCHER Weilheim Group. “The prospects for our employees, strategic clarity, and a reliable environment were particularly important to us.”

With this merger, SCHWENK is consistently pursuing its sustainability-focused strategy and taking another important step toward expanding resource-efficient value creation: “FISCHER brings a high level of expertise and nationwide strength to the table—an ideal complement to our portfolio,” said Thomas Spannagl, CEO of SCHWENK. “Together, we aim to further develop future-proof building material solutions with a focus on sustainability and the circular economy.”

Both companies stand for reliability, innovation, and excellence in quality, as well as corporate responsibility—and are now joining forces for the sake of future generations.
