SW Baumineralik: Progress on the Construction of the Achstetten Gravel and Soil Washing Plant
Since construction began in May 2025, the new gravel and soil washing plant in Achstetten has been progressing rapidly. The structural work was completed even before Christmas 2025. In early 2026, steel and sheet metal work on the processing and wastewater treatment plant followed, and this work has now been nearly completed—including a topping-out ceremony for the 21-meter-high plant structure.
In February, the final machine assembly and the electrical and plumbing installations were on the agenda. Work on the wastewater treatment plant is also nearing completion.
Roof and facade work began in March: a 650 m² sandwich-panel roof and a 1,600 m² trapezoidal sheet metal facade are being installed. At the same time, construction is beginning on the approximately 400 m-long access ramp connecting the RC area to the facility—supported by columns up to 22 m high. Work is also proceeding according to schedule at the loading station in the RC area.
Our facility is visibly taking shape—step by step, we’re getting closer to commissioning.
