SCHWENK Architecture Day 2026 in Leipzig – Focus on Resource Conservation and the Circular Economy

At the second SCHWENK Architects’ Day in Leipzig on Wednesday, the focus was on practical solutions for resource conservation and the circular economy.

The program featured a series of illustrative project examples. The presentations ranged from modern circular economy concepts to CEM C cements and architectural applications that go beyond conventional standards. All of the presentations demonstrated how resource-efficient building materials and recycling concepts are already being successfully implemented today.

In addition to technical presentations, SCHWENK Beton Anhalt, in collaboration with our pumping company BFU, offered a special highlight: A live demonstration showed the pumping of RC concrete and conventional concrete—with no noticeable difference, providing a hands-on experience that closely mirrored real-world conditions.

But it wasn’t just the technical content that inspired enthusiasm—the interaction among participants was at least as valuable. Many conversations led to new connections, fresh inspiration, and shared ideas for future projects.
