After SCHWENK Beton Südbayern achieved a Gold CSC certification in the CO₂ module for its plants in Eching, Fürstenfeldbruck, Oberhaching, and Ingolstadt in March, the plants were awarded another Gold certification in the R-Concrete module in May.

While the CO₂ module provides transparency regarding greenhouse gas emissions released during concrete production, the R-Concrete module addresses the growing market demands for circular economy and circular construction. Given the rising demand for certified concrete containing recycled aggregates, the R module is the ideal complement to existing certifications.

Furthermore, the R-Beton module is recognized by various building certification bodies, such as the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), and is factored into the scoring system. We are delighted that this certification allows us to underscore our strong commitment to sustainability and make it visible to our partners.
