Renewal of plant logistics at the cement plants
At SCHWENK, the safe and reliable supply of our customers and partners is the top priority. The delivery process to our customers has been digitalized through the use of telematics, automatic vehicle recognition, an ordering app, and electronic delivery notes, making it more efficient and faster.
With the renewal of plant logistics in the form of a new “yard system,” the processes at our plants are now being further optimized. The new plant logistics system enables suppliers and collectors at our plants to check in independently via self-service terminals, thereby reducing waiting and throughput times for all trucks. As a pilot, the system has been in operation at our Mergelstetten cement plant since July 31, 2023, and is set to be rolled out to our other plants following its successful implementation.
