CERTIFICATION
AT SCHWENK
CSC certification at SCHWENK
The four SCHWENK cement plants in Germany were recertified in February 2023, with each plant being assessed and evaluated separately. All sites achieved the ‘Gold’ certification standard for ‘cement’ in accordance with system standard V2.1.
At SCHWENK, certification was carried out by FIZ-Zert (certification body for management systems) of the Association of German Cement Works (VDZ gGmbH).
In addition to our cement plants, some of our concrete and sand & gravel sites have also been awarded CSC certification. The respective certificates can be found directly on the company page.
Our certifications in the cement sector:

Concrete Sustainability Council
The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) is a global certification system for companies in the cement, concrete and aggregates sector, which assesses environmental, social and economic processes within the company. It was founded in 2016 and makes the sustainability of concrete as a building material and its raw materials visible and assessable. Cement, concrete, precast plants and aggregate producers can obtain certification.
If a concrete manufacturer obtains certification, it receives additional points in its assessment if a supplier, such as the cement manufacturer, is also certified. It is therefore advantageous if many companies in the supply chain have successful CSC certification. Further information on certification is available at www.csc-zertifizierung.de.
